Iro Iro

Broad, vivid coloured strokes that capture the passersby, transforming them into anonymous models lost in the sea of everyday life. Whether it’s the chaos of morning rush hours or the crowded streets, these images evoke a sense of suspended time. Each photograph radiates a tranquil energy, encouraging viewers to find serenity and stillness within their own lives.

In these images, people appear as ghostly figures, seemingly unaware of the photographer’s presence. Yet, they silently invite us to witness their inner worlds, unveiling quiet, personal stories.

While Iro means colour in japanese, Iro Iro translates to “a variety of” or “many”. A poetic street photography project portraying a variety of souls and colours reminiscent of the Shōwa era.
